Lake Nakuru, in the Great Rift Valley, is famous for its flamingo populations that - when conditions are right - turn the lake’s shores pink. The surrounding national park is a protected sanctuary for both black and white rhinos, with sightings nearly guaranteed.
Beyond rhinos and flamingos, the park hosts Rothschild’s giraffes, leopards, lions, waterbuck, and over 450 bird species. Baboon Cliff and Lion Hill viewpoints offer sweeping views of the lake.
