Serengeti National Park is a 14,750 km² UNESCO World Heritage Site whose name comes from the Maasai word "siringet" — endless plains. It hosts one of the largest mammal migrations in the world, as 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras move in a clockwise circuit through the ecosystem each year.
Year-round, the park supports the highest concentration of large mammals in Africa — over 3,000 lions, hundreds of leopards and cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and the full cast of plains game.

Great Migration — wildebeest calving (Jan–Mar), river crossings (Jul–Sep)
Highest lion density in Africa
Hot air balloon safari over the plains
Seronera Valley year-round game viewing
