Nyungwe is a 1,000 km² montane rainforest in southwestern Rwanda - one of the oldest in Africa, having survived multiple ice ages. It hosts 13 primate species, including chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys.
Its centerpiece is a 200-metre suspended canopy walkway 70 metres above the forest floor - a vertiginous walk through the treetops with views over the Albertine Rift.
