Best time to visit

Equatorial and mild year-round rather than hot, tempered by altitude. The south has two dry spells, June to August and December to February, split by two wetter periods. The north runs drier from December to February. Rain is possible in any month, and the gorilla parks in the southwest are noticeably colder.
